
Benimantell is a mountain village in the Marina Baixa region 74 kms from Alicante. The village is at an altitude of 547 m. The population is mainly involved in agriculture.

Benimantell is a small village – 460 inhabitants - on the shady side of the Sierra Aitana. The village is on the slopes of the Sierra, and one of its steep streets is called Trencacames ('Leg breaker') because it is so steep. Benimantell is a typical mountain village which began as a Moorish farmstead, growing almonds and olives. Olive oil can be purchased from the cooperative (tel. 96.588.50.27) and particularly tasty local sausages are also produced.

The most important monument in the town is the Catholic church of Sant Vicent Màrtir, with an hexagonal tower.
